July 3 (Bloomberg) -- On Digital Media Ltd. may begin pay- television services to compete with Napers Ltd. in South Africa before 2010 if the start-up gets a license to transmit signals itself, Chief Technology Officer Frans Lindeque said.

California high school students could be going online for some of their math and science lessons this year, but they won't be giving up printed textbooks any time soon. State officials plan to make free digital versions of textbooks available for use in high school math and science classes by August.
